N° 01 The Opening

lamhé

decor & the small, slow art of remembering.

Lamhe — Urdu for moments — is a small studio dressing weddings, mehndi nights, and the quiet evenings in between. We work in marigold and muslin, brass and breath; one event at a time, by hand, by appointment, in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Craft.

A note on method — what we make,
how we make it, why it takes a little longer.
i. Florals & Foliage

Fresh garlands, dried stems,
and a deep love of marigold.

We work primarily in fresh florals — roses, jasmine, marigold — and lean on dried palms and pampas when a longer arrangement is called for. Every garland is strung by hand the morning of.

ii. Setting & Soft Goods

Drapes, mandaps,
and the quiet structural things.

Soft architecture is half the work. We build mandaps, hang muslin ceilings, and dress chairs and aisles in fabrics chosen for the room's light, not the trend.

The Occasions.

A short index of the days
we love to dress, and what each asks of us.

Every occasion has its own grammar — a colour, a fabric, a flower.

We treat each celebration as its own small editorial: a brief, a mood, and a quiet, repeating motif. Below is the catalogue we keep returning to. None of these are packages — they are starting points, written in pencil.
